About Chilton's Portland, Maine Showroom
Our spacious Portland, Maine showroom showcases our growing collection of original and exclusive wood furniture designs, handcrafted in Maine. With an emphasis on simple, clean lines and balanced proportions, these Chilton originals complement our classic, Shaker-inspired pieces displayed more fully at our Freeport and Scarborough showrooms.
Situated in the historic Thomas Block building on Commercial Street, in the heart of Portland's "Old Port" neighborhood, this fully renovated and modernized space provides the perfect backdrop to celebrate the warmth, texture and natural beauty of wood furniture.
The November, 2020 opening of our Portland showroom marked Chilton's return to the Old Port after relocating to Freeport more than thirty years ago. The original wooden sign from Chilton’s former Exchange Street location hangs proudly on the brick wall behind the counter.

Directions
From US Route 295 (North or South) - Take Exit 7, Franklin Street, towards the Old Port. When Franklin hits Commercial Street, turn right and start looking for parking. Chilton will be a few blocks away on your left.

COVID Update - Our Showrooms are Open
We are excited to have reopened our showrooms to the public. Pursuant to guidance from the Maine CDC, customers who have been fully vaccinated do not need to wear a mask in our showrooms. We will continue to make masks and hand sanitizer available for those customers who would prefer them, or who have not been fully vaccinated.
We are asking that customers and staff refrain from entering our showrooms if they are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, such as a cough or sore throat, fever, shortness of breath, or loss of taste or smell.
